How many of us truly
are what we are?
How much do we keep hidden away, even from friends, even from loved ones, or perhaps even ourselves?
And how often do we hide it without reason, or without knowing the reason, or without even knowing we're doing it at all?
Could one acquaintance see you as an entirely different person than the next, and the next, and the next?
Could it be that without hiding anything at all...they choose only to see that part of you that is most pronounced, most cherished, most reviled, most beautiful, or most hideous? Or do they perhaps only see their personalities projected onto another body, their understanding of you limited to how much or how little they understand themselves?
Are we ever truly,
completely...us?
